The activities inside THLC - Big Kids Club are designed for children between 6 to 8 years old.

The activities are categorized into two age groups: Kindergarteners (6 years old) and Primary Schoolers (7 to 8 years old). Most activities are designed for BOTH Kindergarteners and Primary Schoolers. I have included instructions in the Activity Guide to adapt the activities for the two age groups.  

NOTE: The recommended ages are a guide for parents. Children learn at different paces so you should choose activities that are best suited for your children’s ability and skill level. If your 6-year-old is particularly interested in spelling and could spell simple words, you can further challenge your child with the literacy activities from the 7 to 8-year-olds’ section. Or if your 7 or 8-year-old wants to take it slow in her addition and subtraction, you can try an easier numeracy activity from the 6-year-old section.  

There are 15 activities in each Discovery Pack.

 We have lesser activities in the Big Kids' Club as compared to the Junior Club (for 2 to 5-year-olds). That is because the activities for our big kids dive deeper into concepts and skills and take a longer time to complete than those for younger toddlers and preschoolers.

Every learning activity is intentionally designed to encourage meaningful active learning, develop academic skills and concepts and spark your children’s curiosity about the world. The activities tie the academic skills and concepts the children learn in school to the real world and help them see the meaningful application of Literacy, Numeracy and Science skills and concepts.

These activities are also easy to set up and require little prep time.

When designing the activities, we take into consideration the academic skills covered in the Kindergarten, Primary 1 and Primary 2 curriculums from Ministry of Education Singapore. The 15 themed activities are focused on one or more of the following six Learning Areas: Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Motor Skills, Discovery of the World, Arts and Sensory Experiences and Social and Emotional Development.

For monthly plan, members will be billed USD$10 automatically every month. You can cancel anytime and your membership will end at the end of your current paid month.

 For annual plan, members will be billed USD$96 automatically every year, up to 2 years. You can cancel anytime and your membership will end at the end of your current paid year. Annual plan members enjoy a lower monthly cost (USD$8 per month) and get access to Big Kids' Club for a year.  

Please note that your credit card will be charged every month or every year, depending on what plan you choose, until you cancel or until end of 2 years*.  

NO refund will be given for early cancellation.
 
*Big Kids' Club is designed to be a 2 years program and your membership (both monthly and annual), will automatically end after 2 years. 

Yes, you can! Many members do that to try the program for a month or two, then upgrade to yearly plan when they see that THLC is a good fit. Simply write to us at hello@happytotshelf.com and we will send you the instructions to upgrade to the annual plan.

 Important note: When you upgrade, you'll be committing to an additional 12 months and no refunds will be issued for previously paid monthly subscription fees.

Yes, you can cancel your membership anytime. Absolutely no hard feelings! Simply write to us at hello@happytotshelf.com and we will process your cancellation in 2 to 3 working days.  

Important note: There will be no refunds for early cancellation. You will also lose access to the members’ portal and the Facebook group once your current paid month/year has ended. Please make sure you download all your resources before cancellation.  

You can join again later, but you will pay the monthly/annual fee that is in place at the time of sign up.

As mentioned above, most activities are designed for 6 to 8 years old, with slight adaptations for different ages.

If you have younger children between 2 to 5 years old, you can consider joining THLC Junior Club too! Big Kids’ Club and Junior Club share the same theme each month so families with children between 2 to 8 years old can explore the same theme together with the activities that are pitched to different ages. 

While the literacy and numeracy skills and concepts may be too simple, your tween may still enjoy learning fun facts about the world, the open-ended activities and fun games in the Discovery Pack.

I recommend that you sign up for a monthly plan and have your tween try the activities. 

I am fully aware how time is a scarce resource for parents so everything in The Happy Learners’ Club is made for the busy parent in mind.  All my resources are specially designed to engage your big kids while taking the overwhelm out of busy parents.

Activities in the Big Kids’ Club are also designed to encourage independent learning and discovery so busy parents can easily use these activities to keep their children busy and happy. 

The activities for Big Kids dive deeper into the concepts and skills and most of them take around 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

I recommend doing the low prep activities during the weekdays after school and the high prep activities during the weekends.

You will have access to the members’ resources as long as your membership is active.

Each Discovery Pack will stay in the member’s portal for a month, and will be replaced when a new Discovery Pack is released. You can download the Discovery Pack anytime while they are active in the member’s portal.

Every THLC membership entitles one family only to access and use the resources. The membership and resources cannot be shared by multiple families nor with students/teachers in your preschool.
